ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team dropped a pair of weekend road games. The Riverhawks fell to Westmoreland Saturday, 88-84, and lost to Community College of Beaver County on Sunday, 73-59.

At Westmoreland

Freshman Ryan Stacy scored a career-high 38 points in a 55% effort from the floor. As a team, the Riverhawks shot a season-high 50% in the game. Angelo Harris added 14 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five blocks. Julius Gardner finished just shy of a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

AACC trailed by 13 at halftime but used a 14-0 run early in the second half to take the lead, 51-49. The Riverhawks built up a 10-point lead, which was erased by a 10-0 Wolfpack run midway through the half. The teams traded the lead three more times before Westmoreland went back up by six with under a minute left. A three-point play by Stacy got AACC within two with 13 seconds left, but a late foul gave WCCC two more points from the line.

At Beaver County

Devon Marshall recorded his NTH double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Stacy scored 24 points to go with six boards. Gardner pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.

Beaver County jumped out to a 10-point lead and fended off AACC until late in the half when the Riverhawks twice got within five points. AACC cut the Titans' lead to three early in the first half, but an 8-0 CCBC run midway through the frame put the Titans in the driver's seat the rest of the way.

The Riverhawks combined for 41 rebounds, 19 assists, and six blocks in the game.

Next up for AACC is a 3 p.m. divisional game against Potomac State on Saturday, February 22, in Jenkins Gym. The Riverhawks will honor their seven sophomores prior to the game.
