ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team opened Region 20 play this week with back-to-back games. The Riverhawks fell to Prince George's on the road Tuesday, 89-55, and dropped Wednesday's game to Garrett College, 79-56.
Tuesday at Prince George's
A big second half for the Owls pushed what had been an eight point game at the half out of reach. Zef Fuanya paced the Riverhawks offense with 21 points, including four three-pointers. Ryan Stacy added 17 points and four steals.
Wednesday vs. Garrett
Garrett never trailed in the game and pounced on the Riverhawks' turnovers to score 32 points off of AACC's miscues. Miles Evans scored 17 points to go with five steals. Avery Evans added 10 points and five assists. Angelo Harris had a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Riverhawks are now idle until Wednesday, December 4, when they travel to College of Southern Maryland for a 7 p.m. Region 20 divisional game.
