Men's Basketball Closes Out 2023 With Big Win at Westmoreland

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team closed out the first half of the season winning its third game in a row in an 111-49 victory at Westmoreland County Community College Sunday afternoon.

The Riverhawks shot a blistering 55.8% from the floor and 80% from the free-throw line in the game, and got a substantial boost from the bench, which contributed 62 points in the game. Jeremiah Stroman scored 27 points off the bench, and was joined in double digits with 10 points from Chris Thomas. Every player on the team scored at least four points in the game. 

AACC (4-8) led, 55-25, at halftime, and added 56 points in the second half. The offensive output was the highest for the Riverhawks since a 120-point game at Butler County on December 8, 2019.

The Riverhawks outrebounded the Wolfpack (0-11) by a 43-22 margin, seeing every AACC player record at least one rebound in the game.

AACC is idle until January 4, 2024, when the Riverhawks take on the Navy JV team on the road at 2 p.m.
