Men’s Basketball Team Earns First Win of the Season

BLACKWOOD, NJ – The Anne Arundel Community College's Men's basketball team grabbed their first win of the season on Saturday November 5, with an 81-72 victory over the Cougars of Camden County College.

 

The win over the NJCAA DIII Region 19 Cougars puts the Riverhawks at 1-1, after losing their home opener, 93-81, to Potomac State College.

 

Anthony Frazier led for the Riverhawks scoring 21 points on the day, with teammates Larry Stevenson scoring 19 and Marcus Dentley putting up 17.

 

AACC outscored Camdem County in each half of the 9-point win, shooting 27-58 on the floor, 5-14 from behind the arc, and 22-32 at the line.

 

Up next on the Riverhawk schedule is the Westmoreland County Community College Tip Off Classic where they will travel to Youngwood, PA to face Lorain County Community College on Friday November 11 at 4 p.m. and then Westmoreland County Community College on Saturday November 12 at 4 p.m.
