DUNDALK, MD – Spectators were given forty minutes of close competition between the Riverhawks of Anne Arundel Community College and the host Lions of CCBC Dundalk, Wednesday night. The Riverhawks found themselves with a 1-point lead after two quarters of play, but the Lions were able to edge a two point victory with the final score 39-37 in favor of CCBC Dundalk.
Madison Cowan (Fort Meade, MD/James Hillhouse) lead for the Riverhawks earning a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds on the night, with Alexxis Evans (Millerseville, MD/Archbishop Spalding) not far behind with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
The NJCAA DII Region 20 Lions are now 2-0, as the Riverhawks drop to 1-3. AACC will prepare for their next match-up as they host the 3-0 Lakers of Garrett College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the Jenkins Gymnasium.
