Late Goal Lifts So. Maryland Over Men's Soccer

ARNOLD, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland men's soccer team scored three second-half goals in a 3-2 win over host Anne Arundel Community College Tuesday in NJCAA Region 20 action at Siegert Field. Dominic Breeden and Brian Guillen scored goals for the Riverhawks (3-3-4).

Breeden raced up the field between two defenders to finish a go-ahead pass from Charlie Meehan in the 13th minute to put AACC on the board. The lead held through halftime and until the 50th minute when CSM's Bryce Wilcher one-timed a loose rebound to knot the game.

Eliass Elfasoukhi finished a pass from Wilcher in the 78th minute to put CSM ahead, but Garrett Collett sent a long pass from behind the midfield line ahead to Guillen, who was breaking ahead to tie the game, 2-2, in the 86th minute.

Nomen Felix Mbia Sampson headed in the game-winner for the Hawks in the 88th minute, knocking in a free kick from the opposite side by Tobias Lane. 

AACC keeper Jayeim Blake made two saves in the game. Emmanuel Grant picked up the win in net for CSM with two saves in the second half. Starter Baptiste Berthozat made three saves in the opening half.

The Riverhawks are back in action on Thursday in a 5 p.m. game at Division III Prince George's Community College.
