COLUMBIA, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team's comeback against host Howard Community College fell just short Saturday as the Riverhawks fell to the Dragons, 12-11. AACC twice rallied from four-goal deficits in the game.

Tyson Miller led the AACC offense with four goals and four assists, factoring in three of AACC's four goals in the fourth quarter. Sahil Lengade added a hat trick and two assists. Gavin Raspa totaled two goals, and Evan Davidson had a goal and an assist.

The Dragons used a four-goal run in the first quarter to build up a 5-1 lead, but Lengade scored with 19 ticks left on the clock to cut the lead to three.

Miller led off the second quarter with his second goal of the game before Lengade struck twice to bring the Riverhawks within one at halftime.

Back-to-back goals from Raspa tied up the game at 7-7 in the third, but Howard closed the quarter with three in a row to carry a three-goal lead into the final quarter.

The Dragons added one more early before Davidson and Miller scored 1:21 apart to cut the lead to two, 11-9. Howard extended its lead back to three with 8:59 left in the game. Miller scored in transition with 5:36 left to make it 12-10 Howard. Cullen Boswell potted his goal on a delayed offsides penalty with 28 ticks left on the clock.

Tristan Giesbrecht won the ensuing faceoff, but a swarm of Howard players knocked the ball loose. Nathan Krueger scooped up the ball and got it to keeper Parrish Fleming for a long pass attempt that sailed out of bounds on the other end.

Giesbrecht won 11 of 24 faceoffs on the day. Defenseman Vinnie Wells won one of two faceoffs. Fleming finished with 16 saves.

Both teams were 1-for-5 in man up opportunities. Howard held a slim advantage in groundballs, 23-22, and AACC committed 17 turnovers to Howard's 18.

AACC is back in action on Wednesday, April 9, in a 7 p.m. game at No. 3 CCBC Essex.
