ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team fell to No. 4 Onondaga Community College, 24-7, Sunday at Siegert Field. Sam Barrett scored three goals and assisted two others for AACC.
Tyler Silvestri scored a pair of goals, while Kyle Barkley scored a goal and assisted two others. Justin Sampson also scored for AACC.
The Riverhawks (3-4) fell behind early before Barkley notched an unassisted goal midway through the first quarter. Barrett scored late in the second quarter to halt the Lazers' 12-goal run.
Barrett assisted third quarter goals from Justin Sampson and Tyler Silvestri, and bookended the fourth quarter with unassisted goals.
Parrish Fleming made 13 stops in net for AACC. At the faceoff x, Barkley went 8-for-20, and Jack Schiavone went 4-for-14.
Barrett and John McElhenny each caused two turnovers; Barrett had a team-high six groundballs.
AACC is back in action on Tuesday, March 19, in a 5 p.m. game against Mercer County at Siegert Field.
