Men's Golf Wins Scarlet Raptor Spring Invite

WILLINGBORO, N.J. – The Anne Arundel Community College men's golf team placed first out of 10 teams at the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Invitational Monday afternoon at the Rancocas Golf Club. The Riverhawks finished 39-over (336) and three strokes ahead of second-place Delaware Valley, one of eight NCAA schools in the field.

The Riverhawks fought through cold, wet conditions to place three individuals in the top 15 among the 54-player field. Eddie Sarrach had his best round of the season to tie for third with a 77 (+6). Tim Brophy finished one stroke back in a tie for fifth with a 78 (+7). Darren Hoffman had his best outing of the season in a tie for 14th place with an 81 (+10).

Matt Crawmer finished in a tie for 16th with an 87 (+16), and Jameson Haynes tied for 33rd with a 90 (+19).

Jake Rotelle of Lancaster Bible took top individual honors with a 74 (+3).

AACC returns to Region 20 play on Thursday when the Riverhawks host a 12 p.m. match at the Golf Club at South River.
