Bio

Richardson was named coordinator of athletic operations in August, 2025. He brings more than a decade of experience in athletic operations, event management, and facility oversight to the role, with a proven track record of enhancing game-day experiences and ensuring operational excellence.

Richardson most recently served as assistant director of facilities and operations at Johns Hopkins University, where he directed high-profile athletic events including NCAA Tournaments for men’s lacrosse and football. He also played a key role in managing daily operations, supervising staff, scheduling athletic spaces, and overseeing capital projects to improve athletic facilities.

Prior to his time at Johns Hopkins, Richardson worked at Loyola University Maryland as equipment room service manager, where he led logistics and event operations for seven varsity programs, and at Georgetown University as facility and operations assistant, supporting major events such as the USA Team Awards TV show and coordinating Olympic athlete celebrations.

Richardson also brings extensive experience from SAFE Management Inc., where he contributed to the operations of premier events including the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Firefly Music Festival, and Baltimore Ravens home games.

A graduate of Georgetown University with a master’s degree in sport industry management and a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Lynchburg College, Richardson combines strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a passion for creating outstanding experiences for student-athletes, coaches, and fans alike.

In his new role, Richardson will oversee daily operations, coordinate athletic events, and support the growth and success of the Riverhawks 12 varsity sports.
