
ARNOLD, Md. – Eight student-athletes from Anne Arundel Community College have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® College Division At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.
Timothy Brophy (Men's Golf), Jack Davidson (Baseball), Nicco Holland (Baseball), and Russell Turner (Baseball) were named to the men's at-large team. Makenzie Boyd (Women's Soccer), Jaylin Sheffield (Women's Soccer), Tina Tinelli (Women's Soccer), and Olivia Valdez (Volleyball) were named to the women's at-large team.
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must be a sophomore both athletically and academically, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, have played at least a full season for their team, and had to have started in at least 66% of the institution's games played or competed in at least 90% of the team's contests.
Holland and Tinelli have been selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. College Division Men's First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® Team honorees will be announced Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with the Women's Academic All-America® Teams to be released on Tuesday, July 8.
