ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's and women's soccer teams both moved up the NJCAA Division III poll in the Week Two poll released Tuesday, September 6, 2022, with the men moving up one spot to sixth, and the women make their first top-10 appearance at number nine after receiving votes last week.

In their only game last week, the men's soccer team limited visiting Allegany College of Maryland to just two shots on goal in a 4-1 Region 20 win. With the victory the team moved to 2-0 on the season in a pair of Region 20 wins, and has allowed just six total shots through two games.

The women's team joins the top 10 after stunning then-number six Suffolk County, 2-1 in double overtime Saturday at Holyoke Community College. The Riverhawks followed up that performance with a 3-0 win over the host Cougars less than 18 hours later.

The AACC men's team is on the road for a pair of Region 20 games this week, first facing Chesapeake in Wye Mills, Md. on Tuesday before traveling to Annadale, Va., to take on Northern Virginia Friday.

The women's team is idle until a September 15 home game against Division I Hagerstown.
