ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer goalkeeper Zane Saab has been named the NJCAA Region 20 Division III Men's Soccer Player of the Month for September 2021, it was announced today.

Saab went 3-1 in September during AACC's extended road trip. He allowed just two goals in 350:30 (0.51 GAA), and made 27 saves (.931 sv%).

Two of Saab's wins were shutouts, including an 11-save performance at Howard where he made four saves in the final 12 minutes while AACC was playing down a man to preserve the win – the first for AACC at Howard since 2015. His other shutout was a four-save game at Hagerstown.

Saab's only loss came against Montgomery, a 2-1 loss where he made nine saves.

Of note, only one game in September was against a Division III opponent.

AACC is back in action on Tuesday in a 6 pm friendly match against Washington College. The Riverhawks travel to Prince George's Community College October 29-30 for the NJCAA Region 20 DIII Men's Soccer Championships.
