Carl Brooks - New Baseball Skipper

Carl Brooks - New Baseball Skipper

Carl Brooks will take the helm of Anne Arundel Community College's Pioneers' men's baseball team this fall after a three-year stint as Cecil College's assistant coach in charge of pitching.

"I have been very lucky to have played and coached under some great and well-respected coaches in college baseball," Brooks said. "I hope to use what they have taught me to help continue the success Anne Arundel baseball has had … and to help the student-athletes progress in the classroom and on the field." See more about Brooks here.
While Brooks was a coach at Cecil, the team won regional championships in 2013 and 2014. In addition to overseeing the pitching at Cecil, Brooks also assisted in recruiting players and in helping student-athletes transfer to four-year schools.

During Brooks' two years as a pitcher for Cecil, the team went to regional championships both years and won its first conference title in 2008. When he played on Sacred Heart University's team, it won the North East Conference tournament in 2011 and reached conference and regional tournaments both years.

Brooks has an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Cecil College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and is working toward a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from Wilmington University.
