Susan Noble Tabbed to Lead Women's Cross Country Program

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College athletic department is proud to welcome Susan Noble as the head women's cross country coach. Noble, an adjunct professor at the College, brings a wealth of running experience to her first collegiate head coaching position.

"I am excited to build on the successful program through camaraderie, smart workouts and fun," said Noble. "If it isn't fun, it isn't worth it."

Noble comes to AACC Athletics after serving as the head indoor and outdoor track coach at St. Mary's High School from 2015-18. She has founded several youth running groups and clinics around the County, including HERO Boys Run Club for boys in third through fifth grade; Pegasus Running, a 10-week competitive cross country program for county middle schoolers; and Sports Prep Run Clinics, an eight-week summer clinic for middle and high school runners. Noble also brings vast experience as a marathon and half marathon coach as part of the Annapolis Striders, where she was vice president of training in education for eight years.

"I am thrilled to welcome Coach Noble to lead our women's cross country coaching staff," said Athletic Director Duane Herr. "She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and vast experience within the running world that will continue the excellence enjoyed by our women's cross country program. I am excited for the energy and guidance that she will bring to our student-athletes and program."

"I'm excited to work closely with Susan. She has substantial experience within the County's feeder system," added men's cross country coach Keith Bigelow. "She has established beginner running programs and has substantial connection within the local running community."

Noble is a USATF Level 2 Certified Track and Field Coach, a Road Runners Clubs of America (RRCA) Certified Running Coach, as well as an American College of Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer.
