No. 3 Women's Lacrosse Romps Past No. 2 Harford

BEL AIR, MD. – The No. 3 Anne Arundel Community College women's lacrosse team romped past No. 2 Harford, 19-4, in NJCAA action Wednesday. Lyndsey Miller paced the offense with six goals and three assists.

Julia Sokolowski added six goals and an assist on six shots on goal, while Savanna Reitz scored four goals on four shots on net. Bailey Makarovich, Abby Zimmerman, and Jaymee Green also found the back of the net for the Riverhawks,

AACC led, 8-1, after the first quarter and 14-1 at halftime, scoring four free position goals in four attempts in the half.

The Riverhawks scored the first three goals of the third quarter before Harford got two back in the waning minutes of the frame. The teams traded goals in the fourth.

Zimmerman corralled seven draw controls, while Reitz grabbed four and Miller had three. Zimmerman also had a game-best five groundballs.

Riverhawks keeper Kaitln Evans made six saves in the win, holding the Fighting Owls scoreless in all of their free position shots in the game.

Up next for AACC, the Riverhawks travel to a pair of NCAA schools next week, facing Cedar Crest at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, and then making a trip to Keystone on March 25 for a 3:30 p.m. game.
