No. 3 Women's Lacrosse Romps Past Alderson Broaddus

PHILIPPI, WV – The No. 3 Anne Arundel Community College women's lacrosse team opened the 2022 season with a 16-4 win at NCAA Division II Alderson Broaddus Friday afternoon.

The Riverhawks scored the first 11 goals of the game, holding a 9-0 lead after one quarter and an 11-1 lead at halftime. Lacey Hinkle and Elsa Skinner each scored four goals, with Skinner adding an assist. Savanna Reitz added three goals, while Madison Hobbs scored twice and assisted three others. Eva McCormick and Bailey Makarovich each assisted three goals.

AACC goalkeeper Kaitlyn Evans made two saves, both in the first quarter.

The Riverhawks only turned the ball over eight times in the game and were a perfect 3-for-3 in the clearing game. AACC also held a 30-8 advantage in shots, including a 29-6 lead in shots on goal.

The Riverhawks host NCAA Division II Post University in their home opener at 3 pm Tuesday, March 15.
