Dominating Performances by Draper and Rowe for Riverhawk Home Win

ARNOLD, MD – Emily Rowe tallied eight goals and six assists and Elaine Draper recorded six goals and two assists as Anne Arundel Community College women's lacrosse team opened up its season with a 20-8 win against Potomac State College of WVU Wednesday night.

Alyssa Yates recorded two goals while Renee Ruppert, Madelynn Argumedo, Elizabeth Carroll, and Yasemin Yazici each contributed a goal to the team's total.

It was a strong opening half for AACC – Draper successfully capitalized on draw control opportunities, players limited turnovers, and the team effectively moved the ball down the field.  To start the second half, the Riverhawks have given themselves a 13-6 lead.

Throughout the entire game, Ashley Bailey stood solid between the pipes for the Riverhawks recording eight saves.

The Riverhawks are scheduled for another home game at Siegert Stadium this Saturday (12th) at 12 p.m. to take on Jefferson Community College.
