MONROEVILLE, PENN. – The Anne Arundel Community College volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 win at Community College of Allegheny County Saturday in the season opener for both teams. AACC dropped the first set, 25-13, before winning the final three, 25-21, 25-17, and 25-12.

AACC gained momentum as the match went progressed, eventually hitting .429 as a team in the fourth set. Lluvia Owens-Pabon led the Riverhawks with 13 kills. Meena Woodson added eight kills to go with 10 digs, while Emily Poole recorded seven service aces to go with eight kills. Setter Mia Keen had 35 assists. Keen (3 block assists) and Amari Roberts (1 solo block, 4 assists) were impactful at the net.

AACC opens its home schedule Wednesday when the Riverhawks host Howard at 6 p.m. in Jenkins Gym.
