ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College volleyball team opened the season Saturday hosting a tri-match with No. 2 Butler County Community College and Northern Virginia Community College. The Riverhawks scored first in all but one set on the day, dropping the first game to Butler, 3-0, and the second to NOVA, 3-0.

Sabrina Sheppard led the Riverhawks with 25 kills on the day, also recording a team-high 17 digs and a solo block. Megan Helinski recorded 31 assists, also netting seven kills and a team-high nine aces on the day. Anelae Reluya also picked up seven kills, five aces, and 13 digs.

AACC is back in action Tuesday in a Region 20 match at Allegany College of Maryland.
