Women's Soccer Shuts Out Rowan-Gloucester

ARNOLD, MD. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team won its fourth game in a row Saturday, dealing visiting Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester a 2-0 defeat. Mia Hull had a goal and an assist for the Riverhawks, who did not allow a shot on goal in the game.

Makenzie Boyd wasted no time putting AACC on the board, netting her third goal of the season in the seventh minute. Hull passed the ball through two defenders to Boyd who went one-on-one with the goalie before a quick tap put the Riverhawks on the board.

After a long loft shot by Megan Miller was stopped by the Road Runners' keeper, Hull charged in as the keeper tried to roll the ball out to her defender. Hull tapped it ahead before sending the ball into the open net.

Jasmin Godinez earned the shutout win in net for AACC. The Riverhawks outshot the Road Runners, 22-3, and held a 5-0 lead in corner kicks.

AACC (4-1-1) is back in action Tuesday when the Riverhawks travel to Frederick for a 2 p.m. NJCAA Region 20 game.
