Women's Soccer Tops Potomac State

KEYSER, W.Va. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team won its third game in a row Tuesday evening with a 4-1 NJCAA Region 20 win at Potomac State College. Mia Hull led the Riverhawks with two goals and an assist.

Hull scored her first in the 8th minute after corralling a loose ball that the Catamounts could not clear out of the box. She found another loose ball in the 13th minute, scoring with a high-soaring shot from more than 20 yards out.

Potomac State cut AACC's lead in half in the 17th minute, but Hull crossed the ball to Tadem Augustin who scored the Riverhawks' third goal in the 28th minute.

AACC added one goal on just three shots in the second half, seeing Sierra Lane send in a loose rebound in the 48th minute for the 4-1 final.

The Riverhawks outshot the Catamounts, 11-5. AACC keeper Jasmin Godinez made two saves as she improved her record to 2-1-1.

AACC returns home Saturday to face Rowan College South Jersey – Gloucester at 1 p.m.
