Hagerstown Gets Past Women's Soccer

HAGERSTOWN, MD. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team fell to host Hagerstown, 2-1, in Region 20 action Tuesday. Makenzie Boyd scored the lone goal for the Riverhawks.

Hagerstown got on the board in the 10th minute and doubled up the lead with another strike in the 36th minute. AACC wasted no time in responding, as Boyd scored her first career goal in the 38th minute.

On paper the game was as close as it could get – both teams recorded 12 shots and four corners.

AACC keeper Jasmin Godinez made five saves in the game.

The Riverhawks hit the road this weekend, traveling to Holyoke Community College for the Cougar Classic. AACC faces host Holyoke CC Saturday at 1 p.m. before taking on North Country CC Sunday at 11 a.m.
