Six Score in Women's Soccer Win Over Catonsville

ARNOLD, MD – Six different Riverhawks scored as the Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team defeated visiting CCBC Catonsville, 7-1, in AACC's final home game of the season.

Leah Burge and Cassidy Smith both scored in the first half. Daniela Cabral, Tori Minnigh, and Chloe Augustin scored in the second half to build up AACC's lead to five before Amaree McKnight tallied a goal for the Cardinals in the 69th minute.

Hope Castaneto closed out the scoring and recorded her first multiple-goal game with a pair of goals just 54 seconds apart in the 89th minute. She also assisted the Riverhawks' second goal of the night.

Sarah Ward got the start for AACC, playing eight minutes before giving way to Hailey Potts, who earned the win with two saves and one goal allowed in the remainder of the first half. After playing in the field for the first half, Amber Franklin was in net for the second half.

Catonsville goalkeeper Samisha Connor made 16 saves.

AACC closes out the season on Thursday, October 21, in a 4 pm game at College of Southern Maryland.
