Women's Soccer Powers Past Harford, 5-2

ARNOLD, MD – Behind a hat trick and an assist from Tori Minnigh, the Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team defeated visiting Harford Community College, 5-2, at Siegert Field Tuesday evening. The win ends a seven-game losing streak to the Owls dating back to 2010 when the two teams tied in the Region XX championship and AACC secured the title on penalty kicks.

Minnigh scored the first three goals of the game, striking in the fifth minute before potting a pair six minutes apart at the 32nd and 38th minutes. Sydney Klabnik assisted the third goal with a crafty pass ahead to Minnigh.

The Owls scored less than five minutes apart early in the second half to reduce AACC's lead to one, but the Riverhawks outworked the visitors to secure two goals in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Asylin Wesemen converted a long pass ahead from Minnigh in the 74th minute to make it 4-2 in favor of the Riverhawks, and Ryann Brooks capitalized on a flick ahead by Daniela Cabral for AACC's fifth goal in the 82nd minute.

Sarah Ward improved to 3-2-0 with seven saves through 68 minutes. Hailey Potts and Amber Franklin combined for one save in the remainder of the game.

AACC play its home finale on Thursday in a 4 pm home game against CCBC Catonsville.
