ARNOLD, MD - The Anne Arundel Community College Women's Soccer team fell to 15th-ranked CCBC Essex, 6-1, on Thursday evening at home. Five first half saves from goalkeeper Sarah Ward kept the game close before the Knights' strong finish.
Three combined goals in a four-minute span sent the game to halftime with Essex leading 2-1. The Knights netted their third goal of the game less than three minutes out of the intermission as they began to pull away.
Tori Minnigh scored for the Riverhawks at the 16 minute mark of the first half, with Joy Emojong recording an assist on the play. Minnigh had a tteam-high seven shots on goal in the contest.
AACC is back in action Tuesday, October 12, at 4pm for a home match against Harford.
