Potomac State Slips Past Women's Basketball

ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team saw an early lead slip away in a 74-72 loss to Potomac State College Saturday in Jenkins Gym in NJCAA Region 20 action. Bianca Garin led AACC with 20 points.

Leila Townsend and SeRi Miles each added 17 points, while Holly Wall pulled down a career-high 22 rebounds and four blocks.

AACC led by six after the first quarter and maintained that lead to halftime. Potomac State chipped away at the lead to hold a 51-50 lead at the end of the third quarter and carried the momentum into the final frame.

The Riverhawks more than doubled up the Catamounts in rebounds, pulling down 55 to PSC's 26. Ayannah Gorham had 14 to bolster Wall's career night.

AACC is back in action on Wednesday, January 17, in a 6 p.m. NJCAA Region 20 divisional game at fifth-ranked CCBC Essex.
