Women's Basketball Rally Falls Short at Camden

CAMDEN, NJ – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team matched a season high with 18 steals at Camden County College Thursday evening. The Riverhawks outscored the Cougars in the fourth quarter but lost, 78-39.

Freshman guard Brandy Middleton scored 15 points and recorded a career-high seven steals, while Syrena Boone added six steals, six points, and six rebounds. Jada Turner scored eight points to go with five rebounds and four steals.

Camden led, 19-2, after the first quarter and doubled up the Riverhawks in the second quarter to carry a 41-13 advantage into halftime. After a tough third quarter, AACC rebounded to outscore Camden, 16-14, in the final frame.

AACC returns to MDJUCO action Saturday in a 1:30 pm game at Montgomery College.
