ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team fell to visiting #13 CCBC Essex, 93-39, Saturday afternoon at Jenkins Gym. Sydney Woodland led the Riverhawks with 12 points.
Every player on the team scored at least three points on the day, including Lacey Hinkle, who led AACC with four assists. Sarah Healy pulled down 12 rebounds (10 defensive) to lead AACC; Woodland added five rebounds.
AACC held Essex to 41 first-half points, the Knights' lowest total in seven games.
More than half of Essex's shot attempts in the game came from beyond three-point range, where AACC held them to just 25.5% (14-55). The Knights outrebounded their hosts at a 67-55 clip and recorded 23 steals en route to 35 points off turnovers.
AACC is back in action on Wednesday, February 12th in a 5 pm game at Cecil College.
