LA PLATA, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team fell to host College of Southern Maryland Wednesday evening, 86-66. Sarah Healy and Autumn Foster-Fields both recorded double-doubles in the loss.
Healy led the Riverhawks with 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Foster-Fields added 17 points to go with 10 boards.
CSM held a two-point lead after the quarter and extended it to a 46-30 lead at halftime. The Hawks scored 27 points in the third quarter to push the game out of reach despite allowing 25 fourth quarter points from the Riverhawks.
AACC shot 40.3% from the floor in the game, but suffered from a 9 for 17 effort from the free throw line. 25 turnovers hampered the Riverawks' effort, despite just four in the first half.
The Riverhawks are back in action Saturday, February 8th in a 1 pm home game against #13 CCBC Essex.
