Three Players Get Double-Doubles in Win over Allegany College of Maryland

CUMBERLAND, MD – Three Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball players, Alesha Moses, Jasmine Wallace, and Alexxis Evans all recorded double-doubles in leading the Riverhawks to a 60-39 win Wednesday night against Allegany College of Maryland.

With the victory, the AACC women are now 6-10 overall, 4-6 in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference, as Allegany drops to 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

This is actually the second game in a row the trio each posted a double-double, as the three also put up an impressive showing in a tough loss to Onondaga Community College on Monday afternoon. Against the Trojans of Allegany, Evans lead with 16 points and 10 rebounds for her double-double, Moses had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Wallace had 11 points with 10 rebounds.

Another notable Riverhawk performance came from Megan Young, who was one point shy from earning a double-double as she posted 9 points and 11 rebounds.

The Riverhawks will take on Southern Virginia University's JV squad for their next competition, scheduled off-site, at Chesapeake College with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
