Laker Scoring too much for Riverhawks

Laker Scoring too much for Riverhawks

ARNOLD, MD – The women's basketball team had a tough showing against Garrett College Saturday afternoon in a NJCAA DII Region 20 match-up; losing to the Lakers, 112-30.  The Riverhawks drop to 1-4 with the loss, as Garrett improves to 4-0.

There wasn't much AACC could do to stop the fast-break driven offense of Garrett. Alexxis Evans (Millersville, MD/Archbishop Spalding) and Alesha Moses (Laurel, MD/Old Mill) were the only Riverhawks to break double digit scoring (13 and 10 respectively) against the Lakers who had three different players score over twenty points with sophomore Chaunte McDowell scoring 35.

The women's basketball team's next match-up will be a road game against the Raptors of Montgomery College on Tuesday November 22nd.  The NJCAA DIII Region 20 host Raptors are currently 5-2.
