Women's Basketball loses to Hagerstown Community College

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Hagerstown Community College rallied through the second half to give them the win over Anne Arundel Community College this past Saturday, in a MD JUCO women's basketball contest.

The NJCAA DII Hawks improved to 17-2 overall and 7-1 in the conference, as our Riverhawks are now 3-15 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

Losing 64-48, the Riverhawks held a small lead at the end of the first half, but were unable to maintain as the Hawks of Hagerstown Community College took full of advantage of their opportunities - outscoring AACC 44-23 through the concluding two periods.

Dania Taylor and Bri'ana Oliver led the Riverhawks offense scoring 15 and 11 points, while Mary Ajoh Kuch tallied 10 rebounds.  Efforts were just not enough as Daysha Adams put up 20 points for HCC and Zjhane West right behind her, scoring 17.  Lana Long contributed a double-double to HCC's win, scoring 11 points while grabbing 15 rebounds.

The Riverhawks next contest is Wednesday, January 20th as they host the Owls of Prince George Community College.  Tip-off in the Jenkins Gymnasium is set for 5:00 p.m.
