ARNOLD, MD. --  The Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team settled for a 2-2 tie with visiting Northern Virginia Community College Saturday in NJCAA Region 20 action at Siegert Field. Ethan Belcher scored both goals in the second half for the Riverhawks.

The Nighthawks scored first in the 43^rd minute off a misplay by the AACC keeper. Belcher tied it up early in the second half when he intercepted a pass between a NOVA defender and keeper, tipping into the wide open far side in the 60^th minute.

NOVA retook the lead in the 71^st minute, scoring off a loose rebound in front of the net. Just three minutes later Belcher forced the keeper to play the ball over the end line resulting in a corner for the Riverhawks. He quickly set up the ball at the mark and bent it in for the score before the defense had time to set up.

Both teams had chances in the final 16 minutes, but the teams settled for a tie.

AACC keeper Jayeim Blake made seven saves in 66 minutes. Starter Michael Capo did not face a shot in the first 24 minutes in the cage.

AACC returns to Siegert Field Tuesday in a 4 p.m. NJCAA Region 20 game against CCBC Catonsville.
