No. 8 Men's Soccer Blanks Visiting Prince George's

ARNOLD, MD – The eighth-ranked Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team dealt visiting Prince George's CC a 2-0 loss Tuesday evening at Siegert Field. The Riverhawks scored two goals in the first half and allowed just one shot on goal in the win.

The Riverhawks (6-2) controlled the game from start to finish, scoring first in the sixth minute as Sam Adams blocked a clearing attempt and centered the ball to Malik Williamson who threaded the ball between a pair of defenders for the early lead.

AACC doubled its lead in the 36th minute when Leyton Calzado found a loose ball just outside the box and touched it ahead through a mass of defenders to John Kenny for the finish. The goal marked the third for Kenny this season.

The Riverhawks toyed with the Owls throughout the game and kept the intensity up in the second half when the peppered relief goalkeeper Bilal Odeh with four shots.

Now 2-0 in Region 20 divisional games, AACC travels to Howard CC on Thursday to face the Division II Dragons at 4 p.m.
