Harford Halts No. 5 Men's Soccer's Streak

BEL AIR, MD – The No. 5 Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team saw its five-game win streak snapped with a 3-0 loss at Division I Harford Tuesday evening. AACC keeper Edgar Garcia made five saves, including four in the first half to send the game into halftime in a scoreless tie.

Harford (6-3-0) got on the board in the 70th minute and added a goals just 56 seconds apart in the 79th and 80th minutes.

Terrance Espinal had an excellent chance for the Riverhawks in the 58th minute when he recovered his own blocked shot, fired on the goalie and then sent that rebound wide.

Harford outshot the Riverhawks at a 23-7 clip, while AACC led in corner kicks, 4-3. AACC was whistled for two fouls in the game to Harford's 10 infractions.

The Riverhawks (5-1-0) are back in action at home on Thursday, September 22, in a 3 p.m. Region 20 game against Division I Montgomery, which is receiving votes in the latest NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Rankings.
