No. 7 Men's Soccer Shuts Out CSM to Open Season

LA PLATA, MD – The No. 7 Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team scored in the third minute of the game and never looked back as they opened the season with a 4-0 win at the College of Southern Maryland Thursday.

Keeper Edgar Garcia made three saves in the clean sheet, while four different Riverhawks recorded goals. Davis Bosley, Daevon Lionel, and Juan DeNardo netted their first collegiate tallies. Mason Switzer closed out the scoring in the 60th minute. Raphael Arias picked up a pair of assists.

Arias connected with Bosley for the Riverhawks' first goal just three minutes into the game. DeNardo converted a feed from Mo Sary in the 31st minute to give the Riverhawks a 2-0 lead. Lionel scored off a pass from Elias Jones in the 43rd minute, and Switzer headed in a ball from Arias in the 60th minute.

The Riverhawks outshot their hosts at a 12-3 margin, and held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks throughout the game.

AACC hosts Allegany in the Riverhawks' home opener Tuesday, August 30, in a 4 p.m. NJCAA Region 20 game at Siegert Field.
