Champs! Men's Soccer Wins South District Title

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College scored two first half goals as they defeated Oxford College of Emory, in the NJCAA Division III South District Championship at Siegert Field Saturday afternoon. With the win the Riverhawks advance to the NJCAA national tournament for the first time since 2005.

Sam Adams and Nicki Llerena scored early in the first half for AACC, which outshot the Eagles, 10-3, in the first half, and 14-11 overall.

AACC goalkeeper Zane Saab made nine saves in the game, including seven second-half stops to preserve the shutout.

The Riverhawks will play in the national tournament opening round on Thursday, November 11.
