Men's Soccer Closes Road Trip With 4-1 Win at Chesapeake

WYE MILLS, MD – Behind two goals from Charles Warari, the Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team defeated host Chesapeake, 4-1, Tuesday. AACC closes out its six-game road trip with a 5-1 record and moves to 6-3 overall on the season.

Chesapeake scored in the third minute of the game, but it was all AACC after that. Trevor Lam scored on a penalty kick in the 21st minute. Warari converted a lofted pass from Trevor Militello in the 28th minute before Jack Castle dumped in a cross from John Kenny in the 38th minute to carry a 3-1 lead into halftime.

Kenny connected with Warari in the 60th minute, sending in a corner kick for Warari to head in among a scrum of players in front of the net.

Ethan Miller (two saves) and Jackon Meckley (four saves, 1 goal allowed) split time evenly in net for the Riverhawks. Chesapeake goalkeeper Hunter Wriston kept the game from getting away from the Skipjacks with 14 saves.

AACC returns to Siegert Field Thursday to take on CCBC Essex at 4 pm. It will be the first home game for the Riverhawks since September 2, and the first on the newly resurfaced field.
