Frederick Halts Men's Soccer Win Streak, 2-0

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team took its first loss of the season Thursday evening, falling to unbeaten Frederick, 2-0, at Siegert Field.

Frederick scored a pair of goals a little over five minutes apart midway through the second half. The second strike was a penalty kick goal after a trio of AACC yellow cards stopped play.

The Riverhaws had several quaility chances after breaking through Frederick's defense, but several shots sailed wide. A late header sailed by the net, and later a laser from Nicholas Tziamouranis clanged off the crossbar.

AACC keeper Ethan Miller made six saves in the game. Ryan Bollinger played the final seconds of the contest and did not face a shot.

The Riverhawks are back in action Saturday, April 24 in a 6:30 pm game at CCBC Catonsville.
