Game Notes

The NJCAA DI Region XX Hawks of Hagerstown Community College handed AACC their 6th loss of the season as they bested the Riverhawks 2-0 on Friday evening (9/29). This has started a two game losing streak for the Riverhawks, coming off a recent last minute 4-3 loss to another NJCAA DI opponent (Essex) earlier in the week (9/26).

Offensive leaders Ryan Gruss (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) and Noah Beall (Odenton, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) posted the most shots on the day for the Riverhawks (4 & 5 respectively) but would fail to get any past the HCC goalkeeper.

Riverhawk goalkeeper Austin Noland (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) recorded a respectable 11 saves on the day but without the offense putting points on the board, the two goals put past him in the second half would be enough for HCC to get the win.

Up Next

Next on the schedule for the Riverhawks is another NJCAA DI Region XX opponent – the Cougars of Frederick Community College. The Cougars are currently 6-4 on the season and 4-3 in the conference.
