MDJUCO Honors Three from Men's Lacrosse

ARNOLD, MD – Three members of the Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team have been awarded All-MDJUCO honors, it was announced recently. Attacker Ben Wilson and goalkeeper Chris Savani were named to the second team, and midfielder Sam Kelley earned a spot on the honorable mention team.

Wilson, also an All-Region 20 second team selection, led the team with 41 points on 35 goals and six assists, and paced the Riverhawks with four man-up goals. He scored in 11 of the 13 games he played in, notching a career-high eight at Carroll Community College on April 6. Wilson ranked tied for third in Region 20 in goal scoring. 

Savani started all 12 games for the Riverhawks, recording 124 saves to go with a 6-6 record. He finished the season with a 49% save percentage and a 12.66 goals against average. He allowed five or fewer goals in four wins, and twice recorded 15+saves during the season.

Kelley, an All-Region 20 honorable mention selection, was the team's top playmaker with 20 assists to go with 11 goals for 31 points. The midfielder scored three man-up goals, and registered a career-high six points with four goals and two assists at Delaware Tech on March 23. He recorded at least one assist in all but one game, and had six multiple-assist games on the season.

AACC finished the season in the Region 20 semifinals with a 6-6 record.
