No. 2 Howard Defeats No. 6 Men's Lacrosse

ARNOLD, MD – The No. 2 Howard Community College men's lacrosse team dealt No. 6 Anne Arundel a 16-7 loss at Siegert Field in NJCAA Region 20 action Saturday afternoon. The Riverhawks were led by a hat trick from Ben Wilson.

Howard jumped out to a four-goal lead less than 10 minutes into the game, but AACC charged back to get within one, 7-6, with 4:37 left in the first half. The Riverhawks outshot the Dragons in the third quarter, but Howard outscored their hosts, 5-1 in the frame to pull away.  

Sam Kelley added two goals and an assist for AACC, Sam Barrett scored once and picked up an assists, and Ryan Frick scored once.

AACC netminder Chris Savani made 11 saves, including four in the fourth quarter.

The Riverhawks hit the road this week for back-to-back games at Nassau and Union County. They face the No. 3 Lions Tuesday at 4 pm and the Owls Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
