No. 1 in the Conference, Mansur Earns 100th Point in Win over Monroe CC

ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College's men's lacrosse team finished their regular season in stellar fashion. Dressed in all white uniforms and sporting new white helmets, the Riverhawks defeated the Tribunes of Monroe Community College 16-4, with Dylan Mansur earning his 100th point of the season. Heading into the Region XX tournament scheduled for April 28th-30th, the Riverhawks are now 10-4 on the season and 4-2 in the conference.

Already ranked No. 1 in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference for assists and overall points, it was almost without question that fans were going to see Mansur hit a milestone of 100 points on Wednesday night.

The Path to 100

Point 96: Brett Carter would finish off a pass from Mansur, scoring the 3rd goal of the game – giving AACC a 2-1 lead in the 1st quarter.

Point 97: Connor Flounlacker scores for the Riverhawks off another assist from Mansur early in the 2nd quarter; AACC leads 5-1.

Point 98: Justin Messersmith followed Flounlacker with a goal of his own, off yet another assist from Mansur in the second quarter.

Point 99: Riverhawks kept pushing and in the 4th quarter Mansur finally got a goal of his own off a pass from Donald Bishop Jr. putting the score 13-4 in favor of the Riverhawks.

Point 100: Mansur takes a hard solo drive to the cage, and despite taking penalty-earning hits from two defenders; he muscles in an excellent shot.

Dylan Mansur is a strong force for the Riverhawk offense and almost always draws the opposing team's best defenders to guard him. It is no surprise that he is leading the conference in assists because that is the type of player he is; always looking to feed and make the smart play. Mansur has a great ability at seeing the play before it happens and then hitting his teammates during optimal scoring opportunities.

For the conference leader board, Dylan is well above the rest for assists and overall points and is just shy (2 goals) of catching the No. 1 spot for overall goals.

Important to note, Connor Flounlacker, who had struggled with an injury earlier in the season, finished the night with 5 goals and William (Chandler) Harrison finished with an astounding 17 saves for AACC.
