Men's Lacrosse Season Ends in Region XX Tournament Loss

COLUMBIA, MD – Anne Arundel Community College Men's Lacrosse team concluded the 2016 season on Friday afternoon, taking on CCBC Essex in a Region XX Semi-Final matchup held at Howard Community College.  The Knights of Essex downed the Riverhawks 20-7, finishing AACC at 9-7 overall and 2-3 for the conference.

Stone Boone led the scoring for the Riverhawks with three goals on the day while Dylan Mansur recorded one goal and two assists. Brett Carter, Michael Bigelow, and Patrick Reilly each scored one goal and Robert Giuffreda had one assist. Noah Hiller was between the pipes for AACC and recorded fourteen saves on the day.

It was a tough showing for the Riverhawks as the Knights controlled most of the face-off action, winning 23-30, and also winning the majority of the ground balls at 46 to the Riverhawks 20.  AACC was also unable to capitalize on man-up opportunities, going 0-7.

CCBC Essex did continue on to win the Region XX Men's Championship by defeating Howard Community College, 11-8.

Riverhawks Stone Boone and Dylan Mansur each earned Region XX All-Tournament Team Honors for their performances through out the tournament.
