Boone Scores Five in Riverhawk Home Win

ARNOLD, MD - Anne Arundel Community College men's lacrosse team had a successful home-opener contest at the Siegert Stadium this past weekend, defeating the NJCAA Region 15 Avengers of ASA College, 18-8.

Stone Boone led the Riverhawks with five goals and two assists on the day.  Dylan Mansur and Patrick Reilly each had five points - Mansur with three goals and two assists, while Reilly scored twice and had three assists.  AACC won 16-of-27 face-offs, with Evan Skinner going 4-9 and Justin Messersmith 12-18. 

The Riverhawks were able to transition well, going 25-29 on clears and held strong between the pipes with Liam Welsh making 16 saves.

Despite going just 3-10 on man-up opportunities the Riverhawks outscored ASA College 6-3 after the first quarter and kept the pressure on, outscoring them each step of the way. 

AACC will continue to work through the week in preparation of their next match-up as they are scheduled for NY to take on the Lions of Nassau Community College.  Face-off is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Saturday 5th at the Mitchel Athletic Complex.
