HAMPSTEAD, MD. – The Anne Arundel Community College golf team placed first out of three teams Thursday at a Region 20 round hosted by Carroll Community College at Oakmont Green Golf Course. Parker Black finished second overall and Connor Hackett shot his best collegiate round to come in third individually.

AACC totaled a 331 to finish seven strokes ahead of Hagerstown (338). Host Carroll finished third with a 347.

Black was two over on the front nine and pushed through a tough back nine to finish seven over. Hackett carded a 40 on both the front and back to score his collegiate best. Chase Kasulke (86) and Carter King (86) rounded out the scoring for AACC.

Also playing for the Riverhawks were Austin Smith (88) and Ian Fitzgerald (89).

Jaxson Schultz of Hagerstown took top medalist honors with a 73 (+1).

AACC is back in action on Monday, April 10, in a noon match at Wilson College at the Chambersburg Country Club in Chambersburg, Pa.
