Riverhawk Men's Golf Team Shooting Well This Season

ARNOLD, MD - Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawk Men's Golf team has been doing well this spring season.  The team of four players has themselves ranked high individually among MD JUCO standings and at the top for overall. 

After the first three matches of the season, Joshua Maisel (Annapolis, MD/Broadneck) is ranked first among the MD JUCO teams with an average of 79, Johnathan Sganga (Annapolis, MD/South River) is ranked fifth with an average of 86, William Miles III (Crofton, MD/South River) is eleventh with an 89, and Sean Creel (Severna Park, MD/Archbishop Spalding) is fourteenth with an average of 90.  As a team, the Riverhawks have shot an average of 88.

Most recent, the Riverhawks earned themselves a win at Beaver Creek Country Club in a match against College of Southern Maryland, Allegany College of Maryland, Cecil College, and host Hagerstown Community College. 

Maisel was the low of the day for the Riverhawks shooting an 80 (2nd place individual).  Sganga, Miles, and Creel were right behind Maisel each posting an 85 for the day (earning them a three-way tie for 6th place for individual results).

The team's combined total of 335 for the day earned them the victory with College of Southern Maryland placing second with a 337, and Allegany College of Maryland taking third with a 339.

The next match scheduled will be played at Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort in Cumberland, MD hosted by Allegany College of Maryland.  First tee-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
