Stroman, Peet Named All-Region 20

ARNOLD, Md. – Two members of the Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team have been named All-Region 20, it was announced recently. Sophomore Jeremiah Stroman was named to the Division II Second Team, and freshman Kris Peet was named Honorable Mention.

Stroman, a sophomore guard from Landover, Md., led the Riverhawks and ranked fifth in the Region with 21.9 points per game this season, shooting 45.9% from the floor. He scored in double digits in all but one game with 13 20+ point games and a pair of 30+ point performances. Stroman had two double-doubles on the season with a 29 point, 19 rebound effort against Baltimore City, and a career-high 32 points and 12 boards against Cecil.

The honor marks the second of Stroman's career; he was named to the Division III All-Region 20 First Team as a freshman.

Peet, a forward from Glen Burnie, Md., averaged 17.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game with eight double-doubles on the season. Peet scored a career-high 28 points in a win at College of Southern Maryland, amidst a five game streak of scoring 20+ points. Peet was the Riverhawks' top performer at the free throw line; he had nine games where he was perfect from the stripe, finishing at 75.2% on the year.

AACC finished its first year in NJCAA Division II with a 9-16 record.
