All-Around Effort Leads Men's Basketball Over Westmoreland

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team dealt visiting Westmoreland County Community College an 89-75 Region 20 DIII loss Saturday afternoon at Jenkins Gym. The Riverhawks' bench contributed 43 points in the victory.

Dayejon Harris (17 points, 10 rebounds, six steals) and Che Colbert (nine points, nine rebounds) were key reserves in the game and complimented a 21-point effort from starter Michael Cantrell, who also recorded a team-high seven steals to go with five assists, a career-high four blocks, and nine boards. Marquis James also scored in double digits, recording 12 points in the start.

AACC erased an early four-point deficit and built up a 42-27 lead at halftime. The Riverhawks led by as many as 20 in the second half, and used a season-high 23 steals and scored 32 points off of 28 Wolfpack turnovers in the game.

The Riverhawks are back in action on December 8 when they start a three-game road trip with a 7 pm game at Harford.
